Team for Leeds
Everyone has been saying that Moyes doesn't change a winning team. So, having lost our last match, maybe we can expect one or two changes.

I would think that the players who might be under threat of losing their places are Fornals, Masuaku and Haller. From what I've been hearing, some might want to include Coufal on that list, but I don't think he should be under threat having only had one slightly below par performance. The obvious question about Haller is who would replace him if he is dropped. One possibility is Yarmolenko. Another is that Bowen could be played centrally. Personally I think Haller will keep his place for now.

There's a lot of clamour for Benrahma to finally get his first start, and I would agree with that. The question here is whether he replaces Fornals or Masuaku. It could be that both lose their places, with Johnson coming in for Masuaku.

I expect there will be quite a bit of disagreement about this one. I'll put my team up, fwiw, but I'm probably less confident about it than any other team I have posted this season.

As for Leeds, they are probably the most inconsistent side in the PL so far this season. They can be frighteningly good going forward, so we are going to have to defend very intelligently. Our lack of pace in that department is a worry. But the Leeds defence is a bit dodgy and I believe one of their key defenders is out, so it might be a good time to play them.

Re: Team for Leeds
Same team as Man Utd except for Benrahma replacing the unlucky Fornals.

Pablo doesn't deserve to be dropped, but I'd like to see us start with a bit more creativity in the middle.

Back four? Have a day off.

Moyes will start the same side as against Manc Utd, a game we ought to have won.

I'd play Antonio over Haller even if he's on his last legs, that's how bad Haller is.

If we have the misfortune of having to play the diabolical Haller then I'd like to see more of Benrahma who will need to be our main attacker due to the rank ineptitude of Haller.

If Yarmalenko is anywhere near fit I'd play him instead of the atrocious Haller too. Or my fucking grandmother.

This looks like it'll be a tough game but I like to think we'd rip them a new one from any set piece.

Its pretty obvious

Same formation

Benrahma in for Fornals

Way Leeds press and hassle and have their full backs fly up the pitch i think Haller will look dogshit but we dont have anyone else

Vexed - I wish you would speak your mind. Who knew you don't like Haller?

Might be worth mentioning that Yarmolenko played for the U21s last night, presumably to get some match fitness. So it looks like he's in Moyes's thoughts.

Assuming Antonio is out, I would look to start Yarmolenko over Haller if he was 100% fit. But I don't think he will be ready to start the game.
Haller is dog shit IMO and Yarmolenko on his day is quality.

Benrahma for me has to start. I like Fornals because he works hard and brings energy but we lack that cutting edge at the moment. We were wasteful against Man Utd which ultimately cost us the game.

Benrahma scored goals and made lots of assists in the Championship and deserves his chance now to show what he can do in the Premier League.

It’ll be the usual set up. But Benrahma should be in for fornals

It’s absolutely mind blowing that some people want to change our system.

Re: Team for Leeds
Benhrama to start, hopefully keep the ball and build a lead then bring on Fornals to harry them late.

And Yarmalenko for Haller if not leading or leading by a lot.

Balbuena Ogbonna Cresswell
Coufal Soucek Rice Masuaku
Bowen Fornals
Haller

We played well starting like that, won the 1st half no probs and should have scored more, no problem with making chances. Team needs sorting for the 2nd half, fresh legs, more concentration and thankfully Leeds do not keep their best players back for the 2nd half. Some officials that do not expect VAR to do their job would also be helpful.

It's a bit difficult to pick the same formation without having Masuaku in the side.

I'd take a chance, and change formations.

Re: Team for Leeds
Strangely Bielsa has already named his team:

Meslier
Dallas
Ayling
Cooper
Alioski
Phillips
Klich
Moreno
Raphinha
Bamford
Harrison

Koch is injured. Ayling is not a CB and so should be targeted.

Re: Team for Leeds
Until we bring in a proper left back the system has to stay . If there is a change it will be benrahma for Haller I think.

Stowie.40 7:01 Wed Dec 9
Re: Team for Leeds
Last time Ayling played CB for them they smashed villa 3-0, but it’s all about not letting them play through Phillips. Carragher done a good piece on him the other week and allowing him to ping the ball without any pressure will cause us problems cos they are very mobile in attack.
